Bubbling on the jacket?

It is believed that most of the custom-made shops will encounter the problem of "bubbling" of clothes. On the one hand, it may be because of the production process or it may be because of the inappropriate cleaning and ironing by customers or dry cleaners.

The rescue method is to return to the factory to re-press by the press machine or replace the canvas, but the process is cumbersome, expensive, time-consuming, and labor-intensive. Moreover, the layer of tulle on the fabric of the clothes has lost its stickiness after many treatments, and this situation may recur even after treatment.

So, how do we stop this problem from the beginning?

1. Using proper ironing machine.

Whether it is the half canvas or fused, the inner chest piece has a layer of woven interlining with glue dots on it. The high temperature and steam of the garment steamer will degum the glue, causing the canvas and the fabric to separate. This situation will occur if the custom shop uses a garment steamer to iron the jacket.

Therefore, when you receive the garments from the factory if there are bulges, it is best to hang them naturally, and do not steam them with a steamer.

In another case, if it is a normal wrinkling it can be pressed with a steamer.

2. Choose machine-washable fabric to make machine-washable suits if the client need to wash with machine.

Generally speaking, for a good suit, if the material and making process are all followed to a high standard, there will be no bubbling. But after all, clothing needs regular maintenance and cleaning, so if possible, you can choose machine-washable fabrics to make machine-washable suits.

If the fabric, lining, craftsmanship, and trims all meet the machine washable standard. Even if the client wash with machine, it can also avoid the problem of bubbling.

3.Advise the client use professional dry-cleaners and give them self clean tips.

There are numbers of cleaners out there who don't have the proper knowledge to do the job. So choose an professional dry-cleaner will avoid the garmet being damaged while cleaning.

Also give the client self cleaning tips like how to treat the dust, smell from a restaurant, oil dot etc, reduce the number if the cleaning of the whole garment will let it last longer.
